Eyebrow Enhancement:
Put away your eyebrow pencil or shadow for good!  Denise uses three methods to create a custom look with complementary colors in a shape to best frame your face.  Denise can enhance the hair you have by applying color as a powder background, or she can artistically apply subtle hair strokes to mimic your own natural brows.  Although hair strokes look like hair immediately after your procedure, these subtle strokes will fan somewhat while maintaining highs and lows breaking up a solid fill brow. For those with very little or no hair in the brow, Denise uses a combination of the two.

What should I expect?
The typical permanent eyebrow procedure will take about 1-2 hours. This includes drawing the brow design, allowing the topical anesthetic to take effect and of course applying the permanent pigment. When you leave, your brows will be slightly swollen and tender. This will dissipate quickly. Initially, it is common to feel that your brows are too dark. They will completely exfoliate in about 7 days resulting in softer more natural looking eyebrows. During the 7-day healing period, you will be asked to apply A & D Ointment on your new eyebrows several times a day to keep the treated area moist. Four to six weeks after the procedure, a follow-up or touch-up appointment should be scheduled. At this appointment color can be added if necessary and slight adjustments made to the shape of the brow. This appointment is for perfecting, and could take less than an hour.

Eye Liner/Eyelash Enhancement:
It’s eye liner that never wears off or smears.  To enhance lashes, small amounts of pigment implanted at the base of the lash line build up fullness or thickness of individual preference.  Some prefer a smudged, softer appearance while others prefer a bold, definitive line.  Popular with both female and male clients.  ***For men, a very soft lash line enhancement is offered.  Just a subtle addition of color is dotted around the eyes for definition.

What should I expect?
The procedure takes approximately 2 hours. Topical anesthetic is applied to desensitize the lids and make the procedure more comfortable. Immediately after the procedure your eyelids will be slightly swollen and tender. The following morning you will probably wakeup with a “good cry” look. This is normal and will last 24-48 hours. You should not wear contacts, mascara or eye shadow during the healing process, which is about 4 days. During this period you will need to apply A & D Ointment to the treated area several times a day to keep the pigment moist. Your permanent eyeliner will appear thicker and darker initially. As the area heals you will notice some of the color flaking off (exfoliating). This is normal and to be expected. Typically, a 2nd appointment is scheduled 4-6 weeks later.

Lip liner, blended or full lip color:
Procedure can appear to change the size and shape of lips as well as enhance lip color.  Adds definition and fullness for a more youthful appearance.  A soft brush of color similar to a newborn’s lips can be achieved for a natural look or a more dramatic color can be chosen.  Wonderful for those of us whose lipstick bleeds into surrounding skin.

What should I expect?
Immediately after the procedure the lips will appear slightly swollen and the color darker or brighter than expected. After the lips completely exfoliate (approximately 4-7 days) the color may look as though it has completely vanished! Three to four weeks later the color will reappear, and a second appointment should then be scheduled. Lips are a thick tissue and will usually require at least two appointments to achieve a good saturation of color. Please note: A dark lipstick look cannot be achieved. Lips may feel chapped for several weeks after your appointment. It is recommended to keep them well moisturized with a lip balm containing a SPF to protect against the sun’s UV rays.

Important note: If a person has a tendency to cold sores/herpes, an anti-viral prescription is needed either from your dentist or doctor prior to getting permanent lip color applied.

Corrections and Secondary Work:
Are your permanent eyebrows uneven, misshaped , blue or a peculiar shade of orange?  Has your lip color turned mauve or blue?  Are you unhappy with your lip, eye or brow design?  Denise specializes in color correction and secondary work.  Often the client, who comes to us for secondary work, originally decided to go to a practitioner base solely on cost or convenience.  Please don’t make this mistake!  The least expensive technician or the one who advertises the most is not necessarily the most experienced.  Do not leave your appearance to chance.  Please contact us first for a personal consultation.  Correcting someone else’s work can be complex, time consuming and, often times, costly.

Medical Tattooing:
Denise uses techniques that can camouflage scars, restore areola/nipple, help cleft pallet patients create a new lip line, or simulate hair on the scalp.  This is an advanced skill acquired by professional training, guidance and significant experience.

Areola/Nipple:
Cosmetic tattooing of the nipple and areola frequently provides the finishing touch at the final stage of breast reconstruction.  It may be a minor procedure compared to a mastectomy, but areola and nipple tattooing can make a big difference to a woman’s self-esteem.

Re-pigmentation of Faded Areola and Surgical Scars around the Outer Perimeter of the Areola:
As we age, our areolas fade.  This can be due to age, medication or lifestyle.  However, women can feel better about themselves after having this area cosmetically tattooed or restore color to a white surgical scar around the outer perimeter of the areola.
